Fede Sarda

Fede Sarda is a traditional Sardinian wedding ring. Ornate and made of silver or gold, my girlfriend Stef. picked this one up for me on her trip to Italy last month. I had noticed one on her finger the week before and had commented on how beautiful it was.

“I had to buy it for myself,” she shrugged. And then, of course, she bought one for me too.

“I'll marry you,” I said. It was sad consolation.

The truth is we're both already married...er... not to each other. We have wedding rings so it’s kind of weird to get one from your friend…but also kind of nice. Why should you wait for someone to bring you flowers? Wedding rings for everyone is what I say.

Next week we start our Argentine tango lessons. Stef.'s husband was out on that count too and she didn't want to take them alone. I can't say I know much about the Argentine tango other than what I've seen on Dancing With the Stars. I took belly dancing once and I moved like a beached whale. I'm hoping this time will be more successful.  I'm also hoping it doesn’t interfere with our new found marriage. I have no plans to be her partner. You have to draw the line somewhere.
